Hi everyone!! Diana's back!!
Sorry for not contributing for the past few mths. Was shocked to see that the last blog was in April. Ok.. let me attempt to make it more alive now..
Just a quick update. I'm officially jobless now!! Not for long.. will start working on 26 June. Past few weeks have been full of ups and downs but nevertheless, got to experience God's grace and love more. Don't U agree that it's always during extreme situations that we always see God more clearly at work? Note: I said more clearly.. It's like in our normal daily routines, we get so blinded by busyness and other stuff that we fail to look out for where God may be.
Was greatly encouraged by God's work in each of you this hols. Many adults were encouraged by those of you who served in childrens' camp. Would have loved to be at camp with you to walk through with you. Though didn't get to do that completely, feedback given was encouraging. I have this, "Wa.. they have grown up" feeling. Guess all of you have been growing over the years but it seems a lot clearer this hols. I really thank God for the realisation of it.
Work hasn't been easy. It has been a draining 9 months though there had been many enjoyable moments with the children. Wanna apologize once again if I have failed to be a good youth leader for the past nine months. Sometimes, I wish I can go full time and just serve in youth ministry. That way, I can have more time for all of you but well.. I'm sure God has plans and He makes all things beautiful in His time.
Mixed feelings on last day of work. COuldn't bear to leave the children. It was harder with them being so sweet on my last day. Doing unexpected things. Even received a fairly long card from a BOY!! Am grateful to God for sustaining me all this while.
Being able to witness Gary and Rachel's wedding was a blessing. It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever attended. God's goodness and grace to this couple was clear for all to see. Was touched by His presence at the ceremony and dinner. Imagine that!!
Yup.. Just a summary of things. Very summarised version.
Ok.. Prayer requests. Please note them down in your prayer books.
- UntiP : To settle down quickly with God's grace. Thanksgiving for the lift breaking down only after the piano and furnitures have been moved. Thank God for God's provision of movers at right timing and for helpful and sensible sons during this period.
- Angela : Self-discipline to complete homework. Look for a conducive way to study. For Adeline to not be at home???
- Bel : To get her voice back (Well, it has been answered). To grow taller??
- Wenxin : Grow taller and spiritually.
- Victoria : Discipline to study. Place more emphasis on God even after school starts.
- Jeanette: Stop shopping and spending money but to concentrate on studying. Find other better avenues of managing her anger.
- Debbie : Discipline in doing homework and study. Not to be distracted by drawing and tv.
- Eunice : Thanksgiving for good sleep despite being sick during her parents' cell group retreat. Discipline.
- Kel : To be a good testimony at work. To be able to hold her stand. Thanksgiving for Holy Spirit in her during difficult situations.
- Jun : Ability to complete her homework despite busy schedule so that she can join us for Saturday's outing.
- Diana : Thanksgiving for God's sustainance and for using her at work during the past 9 mths. Thank God that she was able to witness such a beautiful wedding.
- All : To not lose the love for God and safety during teen games.
