still hanging on despite trials

i m speeding
my ex- BS leader decided that we do Ecclesiastes
i m gonna meet up with my ex BS gp *Spices* for a retreat
on 18.8.07. Meanwhile
i got to do my homework and read thro the bk of Ecc
The msg of Ecc is brutally straightforward so saidth my bible
Soloman tells us he has tried everything life has got to offer
- wine, women and song the ancient equivalent of
= drugs, sex and metal rock
His conclusion:
Fear God and listen to Him, for this is everyone's duty.
The reality of living, aging and dying,reminds us
God will judge each person's life
Life is so short. We need a wisdom
greater than what this world has to offer
If we listen we will be spared the bitterness of a meaningless life
In other words God gives meaning to our lives.
No God, no meaning.
Without God,
I am molecules thrown tog by chance
I am headed into nothingness
I might as well be a lizard, a rock, or a watermelon
if there is no God
Living like there is no God?
Like a hamster on a treadmill?
Great workout miserable life going nowhere.
The search for meaning for every soul
Will ultimately end with the same conclusion as Soloman
Even with pleasure, wealth and success
life without God is meaningless
I makes me feel better now
I need not strive and chase after wealth fame and popularity
I should enjoy my material possessions
My God given abilities efforts and wisdom..(ho, ho)
The sound basis for my living is
My faith in the God who loves and understands me
I have only managed to read a chapter.
