This World is Not My Home
http://my.homewithgod.com/heavenlymidis2/nothome.html This world is not my home, I'm just passing through.
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
They're all expecting me and that's one thing I know.
My Savior pardoned me and now I onward go.
I know He'll take me through, though I am weak and poor.
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
Chorus
O Lord you know I have no friend like you
If Heaven's not my home, then Lord what will I do?
The angels beckon me from Heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore.
My QT is also my Systematic Bible Reading

Judges 6 Gideon becomes Israel's judge (NLT)
the foll is taken from Student's life application study bible:
Most of us who call ourselves believers want to know God's plan for our lives:
However we are not always sure how to find it. It is easy to think that God's will for our lives is hidden and that we might miss it if we are not always on the lookout. But if we are always looking around for God's next assignment, we will probably not do a very good job on what He has us doing now.
Fortunately the Bible gives us a better way to understand God's guidance. In the Bible's descriptions of how God guided people, we can see that God usually showed them what He wanted next while they were completely involved in obeying Him right where they were. A good eg. of this kind of guidance is seen in Gideon's life.
Times were hard, thanks to the continual invasions of the Midianites. While Gideon tried his best to hide the little bit of wheat his family had left from the enemy, God's messenger showed up with an assignment. Gideon had been chosen to lead the Israelites agasinst the Midianites. But Gideon had some questions that revealed his doubts. Was this really a task that God wanted him to do? Was he the right person for the job?
Sometimes we question God because we want to be sure what He requires of us. But sometimes we ask questions because we really don't want to obey. God was patient with Gideon's questions and doubts -He knew Gideon wanted to obey. Gideon made mistakes but he was still God's servant. You can be sure that God will guide you as long as your desire is to serve and obey Him wherever you are.
Precious Lessons that comes with a warning>8> God expands and uses the abilities He has already built in us.
>8> God uses us in spite of our limitations and failures.
>8> Even those who make great spiritual progress can easily fall into sin if they
don't consistently follow God
