Talkic WasteOur Agenda today - Walking in Love. Sparkers loved one another by speaking up about themselves. Not in a pretentious way but in a truthful manner that is REAL. I appreciate that very much. We have upstaged PHONEY at least for one day. The REAL world I heard is splattered with colour. I see, but I do not hear. Sadly, we are not looking to Nippon paint. We are referring to colourful expletives the kids of today utter even in the best of schools.
Paul admonishes in Ephesians5:3-4
Let there be no sexual
immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God.
Jesus tells us that our hearts, our minds, our focus, need to be pure. Why? Because anytime we go outside the protection of God's prescription, whether it be in our minds, our words or our deeds, we act in unloving ways. These are acts of consuming, taking, exploiting and cheapening a relationship
Impurity pollutes the soul.These words apply not just to our behaviour and actions but to our
thought life as well. Immorality, impurity and greed often develop in private. The habit of logging to the internet or participating in illicit affairs through romance novels and various forms of 'prawn' tends to slip out in our language. Our jokes, innuendos and suggestive language reveal a darkened inner life.

To people like you and me, God's Word says, " Don't allow sinful kinds of hehaviour or thoughts enter your mind, your heart, or your relationships." Why? Because these words and actions are, at their core the very opposite of walking in love. They are neither innocent nor harmless fun - they are

-dump explicit bks & mags
-exercise yr right to choose movies.
-excuse yrself when frens/colleagues start cracking crude jokes
-or better yet change the topic
-or best ask them to stop.

they also recommended that you can stuff cotton buds in yr ears
- or be a hermit. HaHaHa this tickles. I am tempted to say this is crab.

may I add here be careful too of depressing songs
some are outright suicidal
they send subliminal messages to an already disheartened mind

ooops its not called Temptation Island for nothing.
But ultimately the choice is yours. Sometimes when you are late for a programe, its not fun watching it any more. That's also a way to wean yourself from something that waste your precious time

Another Sparkle pair recommend replacing strong bad language with neutral words or better words. That a good suggestion. If we want to break a habit that does not honour God, chances are we will succeed with a alternative replacement.

Diana our flexinova is right. Impurity, immorality and greed can let fly in other directions like stabbing looks, covetous thoughts and callous comments.
Totali agree. Today with God's help we have brought to mind and admitted that we intentionally or unintentionally do things that are shameful and disgraceful to ourselves and others. We are too ashamed to face God.
