Spiritual FriendshipIt would be a blessing if we intentionally seek Spiritual Friends
who will lift up each other in the journey of life
My group of spiritual friends comprises classmates from primary school secondary school
JC and university. This is my uni-cell group call Spices. There are 7 of us.
We have had yearly gatherings eversince 1982 after our graduation.
At our last gathering on 3.8.2009 one of us, now a missionary has this sharing
regarding Spiritual Friendship from a book she read.
A. Spiritual friendship is friendship that is rooted in Christ, for the
purpose of growing in Christ.
B. Such friendships are characterized by the following elements;
1. they love one another
2. they accept one another
3. they are loyal to each other
4. they teach one another
5. they correct one another
6 they share their burdens with each other
7.they encourage each other
C. Friendship means frequent phone calls, letters, face to face visits-
staying in touch. Because without that touch, that contact, we'd feel
isolated, and we'd be neglecting a person who is precious to us.

May Sparkers remember to come to the throne of Grace
in humility, in awesome fear.
We are secure in the knowledge that God's presence is always with us
God says He is always true to His promises.
Isaiah 55:11
It is the same with my Word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
May our Scripture reading give us meaning, motivation and mission.
May our hearts begin to change as we receive Jesus' words
May our values also change as we realise the Bible is eternal, relevant and vital to achieve a full measure of joy in Christ.
A recurrent prompting from sermons and meditation of late is disturbing.
God is perfect and can't abide sin in us
God views sins seriously
If we knowingly tolerate sin, we push God away from us
it will make our prayers powerless.
May God be merciful to us in these areas of unconfessed sins
and rebellion. O Lord, help us to seek forgiveness to overcome
disobedience and indifference. Amen.
Sparkers is so special to God.
He was there when we first begun.
