This is called 'Faith'. His name is Faith!
This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 3 legs - 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which need to be amputated. He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.
His first owner also did not think that he can survive. Therefore, he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'. By this time, his present owner Stringfellow met him and wanted to take care of him. She is determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself. Therefore she named him 'Faith'.
In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfing board to let him feel the movements. Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and reward for him to stand up and jump around. Even the other dog at home also helped to encourage him to walk. Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and jumped to move forward. After further training in the snow, he now can walk like a human being.
Faith loves to walk around now. No matter where he goes, he just attracts all the people around him. He is now becoming famous on the international scene. He has appeared on various newspapers and TV shows. There is even one book entitled 'With a little faith' being published about him..
His present owner Jude Stringfellew has given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world to preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect soul'.
In life there are always undesirable things. Perhaps one will feel better if one changes the point of view from another direction.
I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone can appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day that follows.
Life is the continual demonstration of the Strength of Life!!

Thanks Untip for sending this.
Felt really sorry for the dog when I saw the 1st few pictures but after reading through it,
I was really moved. Wonder if the owners are christians, thus the name "faith".
Isn't this another classic example of how God can use imperfect beings to do greater things than the supposedly "normal" people? And how our belief in something can make a difference? Just like how we always believe how sparkers can make a difference in the lives of others...
Maybe we should post this on Sparkers blog so that those who read our blog (Trust me, there are people who do) can read it too.

Oftentimes we try to abstain, drill our bodies, beat it into submission, punish it to diminish and extinguish a bad habit. We fail miserably when we fail to control our minds. Our minds help to switch on and off our hearts.
Colosians 2:20 You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, 21 “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!”? 22 Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. 23 These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires.
Romans 6:12 Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. 14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
Romans 8:26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. Listening to him is very enriching and comforting
Enriching.. because his life is very complicated not like yours and mine
Comforting.. because this fellow citizen of Singapore is a man of God.
You got to talk with the man to know what I mean.
Almighty God thank you for showing us that it is possible to be ONESELF and be full of joy. I guess it is the same in any boy girl love relationship, time together helps us to understand each other's character and will lead to greater and deeper love.
It is the same with our God.

Peter and John were bold and eloquent before the Jewish Council.
They confidently proclaimed that the powerful name of
Jesus Christ heals and gives salvation.
The elders and teachers of religious law were amazed
by these unschooled untrained and uncouth fishermen who sold niang tofu
Everybody knew they had no special training in the Scriptures previously.
Aha!! But the Jewish Council and teachers, they-not-stupid
They recognised that these men had been with Jesus.
Kel sums this up as "Ordinary people doing extraordinary things."
So can we.
Do people recognise that you have been with Jesus?

You can read the last words from Moses to the Israelites before he died.
He urged them to choose between life and death, between blessings and curses.
Blessings for obedience Deut28:1 and on
Curses for disobedience Deut28:15 and on
He exhorted them to Choose Life, so that you and your descendants might live!Deut30:19
Sounds like an easy enough option for all
But even so it has been a great struggle for many to - Choose Life.
God has given us distinctive character traits
I hope to be accurate, to capture what we perceived as our unique character traits
