1 Chronicles 28:20
Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don't be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God my God , is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.Feeling out of sorts and weary, thinking how to format and focus SS lesson on chap7
It is pointless to know God's boundaries and prescriptions for purity
When we refuse to deal with the fact that we have fallen really short of God's requirements. We are using the world's ruler to measure ourselves and not God's ruler
Struggling to bring home the point otherwise it is no point in putting our impurity mildly. What kind of impurities. A few kinds. Impurity in thought, word and deed.
God help us imbibe your values. Pray we really want to clean out the 'web-sites' in our bodies
1 Chronicles 10
The death of King Saul Saul's
unfaithfulness was both active and passive.; He not only did wrong, he also failed to do right. He actively disobeyed by attempting murder, ignoring God's instructions, and seeking guidance from a witch. He passively disobeyed by neglecting to ask God for guidance as he ran the kingdom. So God killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse
Obedience, too, is both passive and active. It is not enough just to avoid what is wrong; we need to actively pursue what is right.
I thought I can run away and not stick to my QT routine last night.
After all I have done my best for the week
I am tired I am weary I deserve rest (Give me a break like a young punk might say)

Let Our Goal be ApplicationSermon on Sunday 1Peter 'Living Word' we are urged to
1. Live by the Word
2.Minister by the Word
3.Worship by the Word
Are you on a regular healthy Word diet?
Do you spend time to savour every moment
tasting every morsel of dessert on God's Word
approaching God's Word with great expectancy that He will speak with you today?
Although Soloman had clear instructions from God not to marry women from foreign nations, he chose to disregard God's commands. His wives lead him away from God. This disobedience lead to the dividing of the kingdom. Unfortunately disobedience is usually the catalyst for many problems today.
God knows our human strength and weaknesses, and His commands are always for our good.
Knowing God's Word or even believing it isn't enough; we must follow it and apply it in all our activities and decisions.
Let our goal be ApplicationSparkers learnt God's Boundaries todayEphesus is a city doing thriving business making idols with a religion centred on sex. Paul's message was revolutionary and counter culture. He advocated chastity modesty and monogamy.
Ep5:3
Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you.Such sins have no place among God's people.4.Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes-these are not for you. Instead let there be thankfulness to God.5.You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolator, worshipping the things of this world.6. Don't be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of the Lord will fall on all who disobey Him.7.Don't participate in the things these people do.8For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord.So live as people of light!Aren't we also living in times of polluted culture? Too often, though, we settle for the bar of immorality set very low.We are so accustomed to social conventional values, we do not see a need to disinfect.Impurity has seeped into our homes into our thoughts and words and we are comfortable like froggy in hot water. I am not cooking this up. I heard it in the sermon today. Heehee.
Paul's 'spell-check' on values applies not only to our behavior and actions but also to our
thought life as well.Clean out our trashy thoughts, filthy speech and impose self restraint from 'dubious website seeing and reading'. The longer we think a certain way, the more we will speak and act that way.
Jesus tells us that our hearts, our minds, our focus need to be pure. Why? Because any time we go outside the protection of God's prescription, in mind, words or deeds, we act in unloving ways. These acts will consume, exploit and cheapen relationships.
Hui Shian sent us an excellent reminder from Paul's letter to Timothy a young church leader at Ephesus.
Thanks for sharing this effective antidote to temptation
2Tim2:22
Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.Paul told Timothy to run away from anything that produced evil thoughts.
Removing ourselves physically from temptation is often the wisest.
Know when to run. We are fighting spiritual battles.
Awaiting more verses to come in from Sparkers
to encourage each other and to strive to be obedient in one accord
Value God's boundaries He has set to protect us from a lifetime of heartaches

Forget about yourself Concentrate on Him and Worship HimA long long time ago, I had a sudden change of heart with regards to how I ought to worship God in church.
If it helps to free you to worship the Lord with all your heart and soul and mind,
I would be most glad to share this with you. It was when I did a Walk through the OT for the first time in my life after being a Christian for 20 years!
I came across the passage in
2Samuel 6Now David was king of all Israel, he wanted a new capital city.
David captured Jerusalem which became known as David's City. David wanted it to be God's city too. He decided that God's golden covenant chest, neglected for along time should be brought to Jerusalem. David lead the way, dancing and singing with joy and thankfulness to God. A huge procession of people followed when the priests of God carried the Ark to its new home.
Saul's daughter Michal, the wife who once loved David dearly, looked out of her window at the celebrations. She did not clap or sing. She was digusted that the king should forget his dignity and dance, without any finery, among ordinary people. 'You behaved like a fool!'she told him scornfully.
'Don't you understand that my greatness doesn't matter?' David replied.'I wanted to give praise and glory to God.'
Paraphrase: Hey! I am not even great to say the least. Does it matter to anyone how I want to sing hearty praises to the Lord? What does it cost me to raise my hands in surrender unto Him? David did a beautiful thing to throw image and repute to the wind.
I reckoned the Bible called David a man after God's own heart for the expessions of love and deep emotion David had for God.(1Sam 13:14 ; Acts 13:22)
He expressed his love for God by dancing and singing with the greatest joy and with a grateful heart. Not withstanding all eyes were on this King of Israel.
God must be very pleased with David for worshiping and honouring Him this way.
What the Bible recorded about Michal freaked me out.
Michal greeted David's actions with disgust and sarcasm. She was appalled by his 'shameless exposure' to the servant girls.I did a double take. Contrary to my mistaken belief David was not naked. In fact, David was wearing a priestly garment, the ephod.
For her contempt, Michal the daughter of Saul remained childless throughout her entire life.
Paraphrase: God cursed her.
Hey! Its obvious God looks at the attitude of my heart when I worship Him.
From that day on I became oblivious to what others might be thinking when I am worshiping God. I remembered David's resounding retort to Michal
"..I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes!"Yeh! I will raise up my unworthy hands. I will not hold on to things of this earth. Please accept my poor offerings O Lord.
This song helped me express the gratitude that weighted heavily on my heart last Sunday. I pray you will receive a divine
'touch' from the Lord as you read His Word. This week do remember to HOPE in 3 things:
A New Address
A New Body
A New Man (with the presence of the Holy Spirit)
May God transform our hearts and give us all a blessed orientation towards Him.
Always loving you in Jesus name. U=P
Amazing Love
I’m forgiven because You were forsaken,
I’m accepted, You were condemned.
I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me,
Because You died and rose again.
(Chorus)
Amazing love,
How can it be
That You, my King, would die for me?
Amazing love,
I know it’s true.
It’s my joy to honor You,
In all I do, I honor You.
I’m forgiven because You were forsaken,
I’m accepted, You were condemned.
I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me,
Because You died and rose again.
(Repeat chorus)
You are my King
Jesus You are my King
You are my King
Jesus You are my King

For ladies only............
A SPANISH Teacher was explaining to her class that in Spanish, unlike
English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
'House' for instance, is feminine: 'la casa.'
'Pencil,' however, is masculine: 'el lapiz.'
A student asked, 'What gender is 'computer'?'
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two
groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves
whether computer' should be a masculine or a feminine noun. Each group
was asked to give four reasons for its recommendation.
The men's group decided that 'computer' should definitely be of the
feminine gender ('la computadora'), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is
incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for
possible later retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending
half your paycheck on accessories for it.
(THIS GETS BETTER!)
The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be
Masculine ('el computador'), because:
1.. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on;
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves;
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time
they ARE the problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a
little longer, you could have gotten a better model.
The women won.
I blog this here for all the smart women I love....and all the men that have
a sense of humor
Now I am sure all you real GUYs read it.
Love you GUYS for reading things specially meant for ladies. ^@^
You are our kind of GUYS.pearlyn chew
